Homemade Ferrero Rocher chocolate balls

Source: Pinterest.

Do you also love the little chocolate balls covered with milk chocolate and dipped in chopped hazelnuts and walnuts?

So maybe you know the man William Salice. The well-known chocolate balls in the golden wrapper are partly designed by Mr. Salice and manufactured by Italian Ferrero SpA. If you're still looking for the name of the chocolate, it's Ferrero Rocher.

Ferrero Rocher is known worldwide, and their approach to sustainability is currently based on the company's social responsibility strategy: "Sharing values to create value". If you want to read more about sustainability in the chocolate market, please read our previous post; "Change the world with your trade”.

If you are a huge fan of Ferrero Rochers and cannot get enough, this will be good news for you because these little balls are super easy to make. They deserve a place in the confectionary bowl, and they will certainly bring happiness to everyone with a sweet tooth.

You will need the following items to make your homemade Ferrero Rocher chocolate balls (Ingredients for 25 pieces.):

· 125 g hazelnut kernels

· 150 g waffle biscuits

· 175 g chocolate butter

· ¼ tsp. salt

· 200 g milk chocolate

1. Shake the hazelnuts on a hot and dry forehead for 5-8 minutes, until the barrier begins to loosen. Put the hot roasted hazelnuts on a clean cloth and rub the barrier off. Cool the nuts. Remove hazelnuts, so there is one for each truffle and chop the rest fine.

2. Crush the waffles into coarse crumbs with your fingers and mix them with Nutella or other chocolate butter and salt. Put the bowl in the refrigerator for 30 minutes, so the Nutella cream becomes more firm.

3. Take one teaspoon of the filling at a time and shape it into a sphere around a roasted hazelnut. Continue the same way with the rest of the filling. Put the balls on a dish of baking paper and put them in the freezer for 30 minutes.

4. Chop the milk chocolate and melt it in a bowl over a water bath. Stir the chopped hazelnuts into the melted milk chocolate.

5. Dip the cold waffle Nutella spheres individually into the melted nut chocolate so that they are completely covered and put on a cutting board lined with baking paper. Put the balls in the refrigerator for 30 minutes until the chocolate is completely solidified.

It’s a fun recipe that you can make with your kids. A good way to teach them the love for good food even when it comes to chocolate goodies. Enjoy!
